Gabriel Lorente is 23 years old. Influenced by his father, whose roots are in Madrid, he began playing guitar at the age of three. Since then, the guitar has become an essential part of his life, marking the beginning of an artistic path that has led him to train with renowned masters and share the stage with important flamenco artists. His musical training has developed under the guidance of masters such as Gerardo Núñez, Diego del Morao, Eduardo Rebollar, Pedro Sierra, Juan Campallo, Alfredo Lagos and Salvador Gutiérrez, among others. He currently lives in Seville, collaborating with outstanding artists such as Pedro el Granaíno, with whom he has recently performed at venues including Teatro del Raval in Castellón, Café Berlín in Madrid and Teatro Cervantes in Málaga. He also works professionally in tablaos in Seville, Madrid and Barcelona, combining accompaniment for cante with solo guitar performances, including his participation in the Flamenco Festival of La Luisiana. Recently, he also contributed his music to a documentary about the painter Goya, due to be released soon. Last year he won First Prize at the National Flamenco Guitar Competition in Jaén and the Special Creative Music Prize at the Madrid Cantera Flamenca competition.
