Born in Paradas, Seville, in 1997, Lidia Rodríguez is a cantaora flamenca. She graduated in Cante Flamenco from the Rafael Orozco Higher Conservatory of Music in Córdoba and holds a Master’s degree in Flamencology from ESMUC. Winner of major cante competitions, including the Manuel Mairena First Prize at the Antonio Mairena National Competition and the Young Flamenco Artists Competition in Mairena del Aljarafe, she has developed a solid artistic career in festivals, peñas and tablaos throughout Spain, as well as on international stages in Slovenia, Belgium and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She has taken part in productions such as El Amor Brujo and Spanish Fantasy, and currently combines concert work with performances in renowned flamenco tablaos in Seville. Her cante is marked by respect for tradition, expressive depth and an artistic personality in constant evolution.
